I, Patricia Jelen, am a native of rural northeast Wisconsin. Born on a dairy farm to parents with more love than money, I learned to be creative with limited resources at a very young age. One of my fondest memories as a child was learning to create a multitude of colors by melting crayons on the back of the oil burning stove in our family's living room. As the crayons dripped and blended yellows and blues turned into glorious greens, blues and reds became stunning shades of purple. My love of bold colors shows in my work to this day!

I have enjoyed metalwork/welding, acrylic painting, pastel illustrations, alcohol inks, high end wall finishes, interior design, decorative & functional concrete projects, epoxy art, mixed media, functional art and unique furniture restoration/up-cycling projects.

As an artist, art instructor, avid organic gardener, lover of animals and humorist who loves to travel, I love to create and learn something new every day.  I am employed full time as an Operations Manager at an AZA accredited Zoo where I use some of my time and talents to raise money to conserve endangered species.

My work is sold on Etsy (ReunionArtsandMore), at art shows and fairs and I am happy to do commissioned work when requested.

If you attend one of my classes, you can expect to have a great deal of fun while you're learning.  Leave your worries at home and live your creative life to its fullest. Life is too short (or is it too long) to be cranky.
